Europe has been counting down for years, and the numbers are now in: GTA 6 launches on Thursday 19 November 2026, with the Standard Edition at £69.99 in the UK and €79.99 in the eurozone. Here’s what you get for the money and when you can start downloading.

These are the launch prices listed by T3 and The Scotsman, and they apply to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What’s in the box (and what isn’t)
If you buy a physical copy, you won’t get a disc. The box contains only a digital download code, which can be redeemed from 12 November so you can pre-load before launch. UK retailer Currys lists the game as PEGI 18.
Standard or Ultimate?
Everyone who pre-orders gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, and orders before 20 November qualify according to Currys. Digital pre-orders through the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store also include one month of GTA+. The Ultimate Edition adds premium vehicles, custom weapons, exclusive locations and day-one access to extra missions, according to Man of Many’s breakdown.
Key dates
- 12 November: pre-load opens for digital pre-orders, and boxed codes go on sale.
- 19 November: worldwide launch.
- Unlock time: not confirmed as of mid-October. Pre-orders opened at midnight local time in each region, but Rockstar hasn’t said whether launch will follow the same pattern.
- PC: no version has been announced.
