Xbox and Playground Games have lifted the lid off Forza Horizon 5 in a stunning new 4K trailer during the Xbox showcase at gamescom 2021.
Xbox Series X owners have long been waiting for a big new AAA release to grace their consoles, and they’ll be rewarded for their patience this holiday season when Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 are released, alongside a host of new additions to Xbox Game Pass.
Leading into the big end of the year, the team at Xbox has lifted the lid on Forza Horizon 5 during a gaming extravaganza overnight, with a gamescom 2021 showcase that included eight glorious minutes of the game in stunning 4K.
Xbox Showcase at Gamescom 2021
- Xbox Cloud Gaming console launch set for late 2021
- Forza Horizon 5 wireless controller coming this November
- The Gunk release window confirmed alongside new gameplay trailer
- Microsoft Flight Simulator multiplayer is coming in late 2021
- Dying Light 2 4K trailer does a parkour deep dive

“Presenting the first eight minutes of Forza Horizon 5, exploring our expansive version of Mexico. Featuring Forza Horizon 5’s cover cars, the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands, and landscapes such as the active, snow-capped Gran Caldera volcano, a dust storm in the Mexican farmland, and dense jungle tree canopy,” developer, Playground Games, says as its introduction to the game.
Forza Horizon 5 is set to hit Xbox Series X and Series S on November 9, leading into what stands to be a huge end to the year for Xbox.

The Forza franchise has reached new heights in the past few years, with the series’ staple franchise, Forza Motorsport, seemingly taking a back seat to the more “fun” and arcadey offerings of Forza Horizon.
Forza Horizon 5 promises to take things to an even higher level of crazy, arcade-style racing, and this eight minute video proves just how confident Xbox and Playground Games are in the formula. Check it out!
