The news that Destiny 2 was coming to PC sent shockwaves through the gaming scene, with the franchise’s long-awaited PC debut coming at the same time as console on September 8.
Players will get a chance to play Destiny 2 for the first time this summer when the beta launches, available to gamers that pre-order ahead of time in store or digitally.
We know that the PC version will be available exclusively on Battle.net, and that it will also feature experiences and offerings exclusive to the platform.
So what can PC gamers expect from Destiny 2? Here are some of the exclusive features fans can look forward to.
- 4k Resolution Support (3820×2160)
- Uncapped framerate
- Full mouse and keyboard support with custom key mapping
- Text chat
- Adjustable Field of View
- Detailed PC settings screen
- 21:9 monitor support
The Destiny 2 PC experience stands to be rather unique and customisable compared to the console offerings, and debate is now raging as to which version is the version to invest it.
You’ll also be able to utilise features of the Blizzard Launcher (previously called Battle.net).
“Destiny 2 will be integrated into many of Blizzard’s existing social features — you’ll be able to chat with friends playing Destiny 2 the same way you already can for Blizzard games,” Bungie confirmed. “Players will also be able to add friends and form parties the same way Blizzard gamers can. And, you’ll see a Destiny 2 status icon by your friends who are playing Destiny 2 the same way you do for friends playing StarCraft II, Diablo III, WoW, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and Overwatch.”
Destiny 2 launches on September 8 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
