Destiny 2 is set to hit PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on September 8, but you’ll be able to play it before launch via the game’s Beta.
We got our very first look at gameplay during a livestream event hosted by Bungie, as well as information on the game’s story, characters, worlds, and exciting new clan system.
“In Destiny 2, solo players looking for groups can team up with Clans for challenges like Raids and Nightfalls,” Bungie said during the livestream.
You’ll be able to test out that new system during the Destiny 2 beta, which launches “this summer” (winter in Australia).
Unfortunately, they didn’t announce beta dates, but they did confirm that it will launch during the June-August period, so we know to expect it in the coming months, most certainly after E3 in June and before Gamescom in August.
In order to gain early access, you’ll need to pre-order Destiny 2.
There are multiple pre-order options available for Destiny 2.
- Pre-order digitally on Xbox Live, PlayStation Store, or Battle.net
- Pre-order at a local retailer
All Destiny 2 pre-orders will be honoured with early access to the beta, which is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will be open to all players at a later date.
