Battlefield 6 Casino Heist Update: European Casino Map, Leaderboards and Everything Coming 10 November

Battlefield 6's Casino Heist update lands on 10 November with an infantry-only casino map built to come apart, a limited-time event, a new carbine and the long-promised multiplayer leaderboards.

Battlefield 6 gameplay

Battlefield 6 Season 5 Phase 2, called Casino Heist, arrives on Tuesday 10 November. Its headline is European Casino, a night-time, infantry-only map set inside a European-style resort on the Las Vegas Strip, with a central tower that can be brought down completely. The update also brings a limited-time event, a new carbine, gadget and vehicle, and the multiplayer leaderboards players have been asking about since the season started.

EA laid it all out in a community update on 2 November. Here’s what’s in it and why European Casino could be the season’s most important map.

Everything in the 10 November update

AdditionWhat it is
European CasinoNight-time, infantry-only map in a European-style Las Vegas resort: gaming halls, tight corridors and open courtyards, with destructible walls and a collapsible central tower
Casino Heist eventLimited-time event across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC; defeated enemies drop Contracts with extra objectives that earn event currency for rewards
NSW4 CarbineNew close-quarters carbine that uses subsonic ammunition by default, with a supersonic option
Signal JammerNew gadget that disrupts enemy radar
M142 MRAS truckNew indirect-fire support vehicle
Multiplayer leaderboardsSeasonal rankings by career, game mode and class
Balance changesWeapon adjustments; full list due with the patch notes

One catch: EA’s update notes that the European Casino map and some of the phase’s content won’t be available in REDSEC, the free-to-play battle royale. The event runs there, but the map doesn’t.

European Casino: Metro with a casino floor

EA pitches European Casino as having a similar flow to Operation Metro, the Battlefield 3 map that’s still the series’ reference point for long, grinding infantry battles. That’s a deliberate signal. Metro’s tight lanes and choke points made it a love-it-or-hate-it map for 15 years.

The difference is destruction. Walls can be blown open to create new flanking routes through the gaming halls, and the central tower can collapse entirely, permanently reshaping the middle of the map for the rest of the match. Happy Gamer’s preview also notes a lazy river winding through the resort. A map that changes shape mid-match is harder to memorise and harder to camp, which is exactly what Metro-style maps need to stop every round turning into a grenade-spam stalemate at the same two choke points.

There are no vehicles, so this is the map for players who prefer fighting on foot. It’s also the third new map of Season 5, after Vegas Strip and Area 51 opened the season in October.

Multiplayer leaderboards finally arrive

Leaderboards were on the Season 5 roadmap but didn’t ship when the season launched on 13 October, and players noticed. In a Discord Q&A recap, EA said it was testing them internally and planned to release them later in the season. They’re now confirmed for 10 November, with separate tabs for Career, Game Modes and Classes. Rankings reset each season, with a filter to compare your results from Season 5 onward, and your own position is always shown even if you’re nowhere near the top.

Balance changes

EA says the update includes weapon changes, but it hasn’t published the full list yet. It’s also still reviewing data on the vehicle handling changes made at the start of Season 5 before deciding whether to adjust them further. We’ll update this article when the patch notes go live on 10 November.

What comes next: Frozen Aces on 8 December

Season 5 Phase 3, Frozen Aces, is scheduled for 8 December. EA’s roadmap lists the long-requested Server Browser and Platoons for that update, alongside updates to the Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City maps. The roadmap graphic also shows the MK 1 MOD 0 for the phase. EA hasn’t dated Season 6 beyond saying it arrives in 2027.

If you’re still working through the current Battlefield x Dead Space event, it runs until 10 November, so finish off its rewards before Casino Heist replaces it.
