Battlefield 6 is now on Xbox Game Pass. It joined the service on Tuesday, October 13, and you can play it on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud, but only if you subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass.
The timing is pointed: it lands ten days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, and unlike Battlefield 6, the new Call of Duty is not coming to Game Pass at launch.
Which Game Pass plans include Battlefield 6?
| Plan | Battlefield 6 included? | Where you can play |
|---|---|---|
| Game Pass Ultimate | Yes | Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud |
| PC Game Pass | Yes | PC |
| Game Pass Premium | No | – |
| Game Pass Essential | No | – |
Battlefield 6 comes through EA Play, which is bundled with Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That is why Premium and Essential subscribers do not get it.
What else Game Pass members get
- The EA Play Deployment Pack for Battlefield 6
- The Season 5 EA Play Pack
- Recurring seasonal rewards through EA Play
- 10% off eligible EA digital purchases, which covers Battlefield 6 add-ons
Before you start
- You need an EA account. Battlefield 6 requires one even through Game Pass, so link your Xbox profile to the right EA account before your first match, or progress can end up on the wrong one.
- Fix your NAT type first. Strict or Moderate NAT means long queues and failed party joins. Our NAT guide has the Battlefield 6 ports for Xbox and PS5.
- Cloud players, watch your hours. From November, Xbox Cloud Gaming moves to monthly hour limits, with 15 hours a month on Ultimate. A large multiplayer game like Battlefield 6 will use that up quickly, so install it on console or PC if you can.
