Can You Bet on GTA 6? Inside the Prediction Markets

GTA 6 key art

18+ only (21+ in many US states). This article explains how prediction markets work. We don’t link to, recommend or endorse any of them.

Yes, you can bet on GTA 6, in a way. Prediction markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket let people trade yes-or-no contracts on questions like “Will GTA 6 be delayed?” or “What Metacritic score will it get?”. Traditional licensed sportsbooks don’t appear to be where the action is.

What’s on the markets

As of 24 September 2026, Kalshi and Polymarket had more than 30 GTA VI markets between them and over $1 million in trading volume, according to NextPredict. A snapshot of three busy ones on Polymarket:

MarketVolume (24 Sept 2026)
Another GTA 6 trailer released by 30 September$972,000
GTA 6 launch postponed again$813,000
Will GTA 6 cost $100 or more$416,000

On the release date, Polymarket traders put the chance of a release before 30 November at 93% on 24 September. Another market asks what Metacritic score the game gets. It resolves on the Metascore seven days after release, and Polymarket priced a score of 90 or higher at 94% on 7 October. Those are snapshots, and prices move constantly.

How to read a price

A contract trading at 60 cents for “yes” implies roughly a 60% chance, according to VegasInsider’s explainer. It’s the crowd’s estimate, not a fact and not a tip. Prices can be wrong, and the market for a hyped game is full of fans.

What they are not

  • Not a licensed sportsbook. Kalshi operates as a US-regulated exchange, according to Wikipedia, while Polymarket has been described as operating in a legal and ethical grey area. Law firm Reed Smith notes that US federal courts have issued conflicting rulings on how prediction markets fit with state gambling rules.
  • Not endorsed. Kalshi notes its GTA market isn’t endorsed by Rockstar Games.
  • Not available everywhere. Legality and access depend on your country and state. We found no major licensed bookmaker listing GTA 6 markets in our checks, and that could change.

Our take

The prices are a fun window into what fans and traders expect, and a decent mood meter for 19 November. If you’re thinking of putting money on any of this, only use services that are legal where you live, never stake what you can’t afford to lose, and set limits first. Our responsible gambling page lists free support by country, and our 2027 online casino guide explains how to check a licence.
