Pragmatic Play has given its best-known slot a new look. Sweet Bonanza POP launched on 20 October 2026 as the latest game in the studio’s POP series. It shrinks the original’s 6×5 grid down to 3×5 and adds three instant jackpots, with a top prize of 25,000 times the stake.

How it plays
Wins pay when five or more matching symbols land anywhere on the 3×5 grid. Winning symbols disappear and new ones tumble in, so a single spin can chain several wins together. Pragmatic’s game page lists symbol wins of up to 50x.
The bonus triggers with any mix of three or more lollipop scatters and POP symbols, and starts with 10 free spins. Three or four scatters during the bonus add another five or ten spins.
In the bonus, Candy Bomb multipliers worth up to 1,000x can land and stay on the grid while the reels tumble. When the sequence ends, their values are added together and applied to the total win. That’s the same idea as the original Sweet Bonanza’s bombs, with a higher ceiling.
The POP jackpots
The new part is the POP symbol. If POP symbols help trigger the bonus, they also pay an instant prize on top of the free spins:
- one POP symbol pays the 50x Spark jackpot
- two pay the 500x Snap jackpot
- three pay the 25,000x Burst jackpot, the game’s maximum win
The 25,000x is a ceiling, not something to plan around. Slot review site BigWinBoard puts the odds of hitting the max win at roughly 1 in 52.6 million spins, and the free spins round at about 1 in 123.
Check which RTP you’re getting
The headline RTP of 97.05% is among the highest in Pragmatic’s catalogue, and well above the 96.49% of the 2019 original. But it’s only the default. The game ships with three lower settings as well, 96.58%, 95.59% and 94.56%, and each casino picks the one it runs. At least one crypto casino already lists the game at 96.58%.
