How to earn MyPoints in NBA 2K26 fast

MyPoints in NBA 2K26 are progression points that go towards your maximum MyPlayer rating. While your total ceiling is 99, being able to actually get to that rating depends on how much VC you have to buy Attribution points for each skill, as well as how far you have progressed up the max rating ladder. If you have 1 million VC but only enough MyPoints to hit an 82 Overall, then best you be spending that VC on clothes until you start boosting that MyPoints metre. Thankfully, there is a relatively easy and fast way to earn MyPOINTS, up to a staggering 100,000+ per hour.

How to get MyPOINTS fast in NBA 2K26

There is a very specific method to this that may or may not eventually be patched out of the game, but if you do this as of September 7 2025 you could find yourself going up as many at 10 ratings points in 5-6 hours of boosting.

Step 1 – Head to “Street Kings” on the map

Bring up the map and set a waypoint for “Street Kings”. When you get there you’ll need to trigger the cutscene to officially unlock the Street Kings street ball tournament.

Once you complete the cutscene, you need to look for a little alleyway that has “Jordan Jam” spray painted on it. Follow the path around until you find the hidden street ball court surrounded by cheering people. Nearby, there is a board with a list of names on it, which is where you’ll start this MyPoints farming method.

Step 2 – Beat ‘Twinkle Toes’

Select ‘Twinkle Toes’ as your opponent, and then pick your team. You’ll only have two options — Big Al and Drew — so select them to kick-start the match.

How to beat Twinkle Toes

How you beat Twinkle Toes will be dependent on your specific build. The AI in these matches isn’t so difficult that they’ll hit absolutely everything, but I’ve found that defensively if you give them some space they’ll either chuck up poor shots, or keep passing the ball around the key until they find a completely open three-point shot, or a direct line to the basket for an open dunk.

Offensively, my tips are really the same as my MyCareer tips: don’t rush, set screens, and don’t force shots.

My other suggestion is to ensure you’re the one guarding Twinkle Toes, unless you have a defensive rating in the absolute toilet. Big Al and Drew can’t defend him, so you’re the best option. If you absolutely need to switch, click RB/R1 and then the button of the player you want to switch to.

It might take you a few tries to beat him, and that’s okay. But once you do you’ll be able to add Twinkle Toes to your squad.

Step 3 – Play ‘Poster Child’ on repeat

This is where the method really kicks into gear. It all relies on the team dynamics of the players that Poster Child picks. Ensure you select Twinkle Toes and Big Al. This will ensure Poster Child has a spud of a PF teammate that’ll jack three pointers at every opportunity.

The method is simple: on defense, switch to the PF. This should be RB and then X on Xbox, or R1 and then Square on PlayStation. Then, plant yourself in the middle of the key. Yes, you’re leaving your opponent wide open. The trick here (until they patch it) is to trick the AI into taking an open, uncontested shot. Meaning the PF will just jack up three pointers, and miss all of them (or maybe make 1 in like every 50 tries).

Once they shoot and miss, grab the rebound, run it up, and on the fast break give off an alley-oop pass to a teammate, or shoot an open/high percentage three-pointer to boost up your team meter.

How to alley-oop in NBA 2K26

The simpliest way to explain it is: dribble to the spot, double tab Y/Triangle while moving R3 in the direction of the receiving teammate, and then press the corresponding button above the receiving teammate once it appears above their head. The double tap will trigger the animation of the teammate running and jumping towards the basket, and the final mini-quicktime event will trigger the final pass.

This video shows you how to best pull off an alley oop pass. The alternative method is to call for a pick and then pass the ball to then holding turbo + Y/Triangle.

Why do you need to do an alley-oop pass? Because these passes grant the most VC, teammate grade boost, and fill the the shutdown meter quickly, meaning you can “finish” the game before actually reaching 21 points. The shutdown meter fills up every time you score and get a defensive stop, so consecutive stops and consecutive scores mean you’ll win the game in a few minutes. You can also shoot threes if you’re strong enough in that area: that’ll also finish the game in a few minutes for you.

Step 4 – Do this over and over again

Yes, this method is tedious. Yes, it will take you about 15-20 hours to absolutely max out to 99 player rating. But it is the fastest way to boost and get to 99 without playing in The Park or The REC. Play and repeat this method mindlessly and you’ll boost your VC stock and MyPoints in a matter of hours, so it’s helpful if maybe you do an hour or two every day to just work your way through the method.
