Overwatch 2 Halloween event skins 2022: New PvE event kicks over in late October

The launch of Overwatch 2 unfortunately didn’t come with the much-hyped new PvE modes, but players can look forward to the game’s first major event in the coming weeks. The Overwatch 2 Halloween event sees the return of the Junkenstein’s Revenge PvE event, along with a range of new skins.

Junkerstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride will be the Overwatch 2 Halloween event for 2022, leading into what will surely be a festive season of events and changes for the game heading into 2023. This week’s new update already brings with it a host of new changes and improvements, and the first PvE event of the year should hopefully tide fans over until the long-planned Overwatch 2 PvE land, hopefully in early 2023.

The annual Halloween event in Overwatch 2 has always been one of the more popular modes in Overwatch: having first started in 2016 and not evolving much in the years that followed, fans will be hoping for some changes and refinements to the mode ahead of a new season of PvE and special events over Christmas and Lunar New Year.

Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride will obviously launch to coincide with Halloween. That means we’ll see the event kick off from October 25, and run through to about November 8.

That aligns with the same event in past years, giving players a solid 2-week run at the PvE event to celebrate Halloween in Overwatch 2.

The new PvE mode is said to bring it with a new spin on the traditional and well-known Junkenstein’s Revenge PvE event, which saw players team up to beat waves of Zomnics, as well as mini-boss battles against Symmetra, Mercy, Roadhog, and eventually, Junkrat or Junkenstein.

Images leaked as part of the announcement seem to suggest that the playable Heroes will be Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, and Ashe, although players should be able to select from the full Hero roster.

In terms of the skins available and how they’ll be earnable, we have to assume based on the Battle Pass that the total range of skins across the Hero roster will likely come at a pretty penny, although Blizzard may surprise us yet.
