From the darkness of night, Xbox owners have woken up to an almighty surprise. One of the best video games shooters of all time, Quake, has been released on Xbox Game Pass, and is playable right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
What’s more, the surprised release is “enhanced”, meaning a boosted presentation and overall performance.
Quake players on Xbox Series X can expect a resolution of up to 4K, alongside improved visuals, as well as all expansion packs, user-created mods and missions, and more.
Quake is also now playable via Cloud gaming, so you can play on-the-go with your Razer Kishi or other mobile-compatible controller.
Local (co-op up to four players) and online multiplayer up to eight players is also available, alongside dedicated service support, which is huge and should help keep the game active long after its initial honeymoon period subsides.
Add to all of this are plans to bring a free next-gen upgrade in the near future. This is a huge surprise for gamers and I’d highly recommend jumping in to play Quake if you have Xbox Game Pass.
