ORIGINAL STORY
Last month, it all started with what appeared to be an officially licensed Overwatch Nintendo Switch case. @Wario64, a respected industry leaker and stalwart, noticed it on Amazon before it was quickly removed.

The listing for the case noted it was “officially licensed by Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment”, which, connecting the dots, points to likely collaboration between Nintendo and Blizzard, and, therefore, a Switch port of Overwatch.
Now, by way of Kotaku, rumours are heating up with word Nintendo will officially announce the Overwatch Switch port during today’s Nintendo Direct, which is scheduled for 8am AEST.

Two sources have confirmed the announcement, with Overwatch on Switch likely to see an October 18 release. We’ll know more in a few hours.
