Following on from news about the Overwatch Anniversary Event, which looks set to kick off next week, a Game Of The Year Edition of the title has also been leaked via Xbox Live, with a projected release date of May 23.
Discovered by the folks over at True Achievements, the Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition comes with a stack of additional loot, including all skins available in the Origins edition, and some additional Heroes for World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm.
According to the store description, here’s what will be included in the Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition:
- The full game.
- 10 Bonus Loot Boxes with cosmetic goodies for your Overwatch heroes.
- Origin Skins for 5 Overwatch heroes.
- A Baby Winston Pet for adventures in World of WarCraft.
- The Tracer Hero for battling it out in Heroes of the Storm.
- And more!
One can assume it will be priced the same as the normal version, seeing as all DLC is free … although considering the game’s monetisation efforts, and the grinding required to unlock all of the skins and sprays, it may come at a higher price.
The “bonus” loot boxes may come with a higher rate of Legendary skins, although anyone outside of China probably won’t know what those rates are.
If you haven’t yet invested in Overwatch, the Game of the Year version may be your best bet. And what better time to do it than just ahead of the game’s one year anniversary!
