We could be seeing the rebirth of split-screen couch co-op, and DICE’s Star Wars: Battlefront games are certainly leading the way on that front.
The 2015 entry had a solid co-op “Missions” offering, and it seems the same will be offered up for 2017’s Battlefront 2.
It’s been a steady stream of good news for Battlefront fans out of Star Wars Celebration, with the revelation that there won’t be a season pass, as well as a pretty cool looking campaign, setting the scene for an explosive end of the year for Star Wars fans.
The confirmation of split-screen only adds to the hype.
Battlefront 2‘s console versions on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will offer two-player offline split-screen action, just as was the case in the first game, Xbox Wire has revealed.
You’ll be able to customise rewards, and bring those upgrades into the online multiplayer.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 launches November 17 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
