Battlefield 1 has proven to be the the B12 shot the franchise needed. The release of 2015’s Battlefield Hardline saw series sales hit an all-time low, selling a fraction of what Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 were able to achieve. The latter was a critical and commercial success, but post-launch performance issues caused a big dent in gamer trust.
Thankfully, DICE’s World War I epic — aside from being the year’s best shooter — has survived through a stable launch and record-breaking sales, seeing it outsell Battlefield 4 and Hardline‘s launch week sales, combined.
Even in a release window that also saw Gears Of War 4, Titanfall 2, Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered hit store shelves, Battlefield 1 has come out as the genre king for 2016.
And, as is often the case with Battlefield games, there’s no shortage of “only in Battlefield” moments. Case in point: this player’s insane 105 killstreak … in a tank!

I used to be a pretty avid Call Of Duty player, and also spent days playing the original Titanfall. I used to suck at Battlefield games — and I still do — but Battlefield 1 is so great that I’ve pushed through the growing pains to become a solid albeit still quite average player. At least my skills have improved.
However, this guy takes “skill” to an all-new level … although some might argue that not much “skill” is involved in getting kills in a tank, but I’ll counter: if you’re anything like me, it’s hard to stay in control of and survive an onslaught in a tank you’re controlling, but this player does it with grace!
