Rockstar has been teasing us for months by saying and doing nothing, and then the internet went into overdrive yesterday when it officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2. We don’t know much about Rockstar’s latest open-world extravaganza, but what we do know is enough to have us salivating.

We now finally have a teaser trailer for the game, and it’s just as beautiful and spectacular as we imagined.

It’s been a long three years since we last got a Rockstar game, and it will have been four years when (if) Red Dead Redemption 2 launches in Spring 2017 in Australia. Here’s hoping the game isn’t delayed like both GTA IV and GTA V were.

It may have been smothered by the announcement of Nintendo’s new home console, the Switch, but that doesn’t dilute the fact that this is an amazing trailer that manages to do so much in such a short space of time.

Check out the first teaser trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

    Looks awesome.

Take Two are down as developing for the Switch, so maybe RDR2 on a Nintendo?

Either way I’ll be getting it on the PS4Pro.

Doubtful. Rockstar’s engine is optimised for specific consoles. No chance they go for Switch, which has zero install base atm, before PC.

Take-Two was obviously referring to 2K and 2K Sports.
