PS4 and Xbox One owners can play Overwatch for free this weekend

If for whatever reason you haven’t yet played Overwatch, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to try your hand at one of the year’s best shooters.

Kicking off from 4am AEST on September 10 and running until 9am AEST on September 13, PS4 and Xbox One owners will be able to play the full Overwatch game, no strings attached. Then, if you purchase Overwatch: Origins Editions after the free weekend, all of your progress will be carried over and you’ll be able to continue where you left off.

It’s a fantastic initiative to get more players involved in one of the best multiplayer games you can get on console.

The free weekend comes just as Blizzard kicked off the second season of Overwatch Competitive Play. A new map, Eichenwalde, is also now available for PC and Xbox One Overwatch players, with the map to come to PS4 players in the near future.
