Batman: Return To Arkham was officially announced today, bringing two classic Batman games in Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Set to launch on July 27, Return To Arkham will include all Game Of The Year edition bonus and downloadable content from both games, with upgraded models, environments, lighting, effects and shaders.

It comes as no surprise that Virtuous Ltd is porting the remaster as series creator Rocksteady moves on to other projects.

Virtuous has a long history of looking after remastered versions of older games, and the good news is that their track record is pretty solid, so Arkham fans shouldn’t worry about getting a half-hearted re-release.

It most recently ported Quantum Dreams’ Heavy Rain from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, landing a 78 on Metacritic.

It also helped with the porting of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and Fable Anniversary to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, and Xbox 360, respectively.

Perhaps its most notable work was on XCOM: Enemy Unknown for iOS. That version of the game is actually the highest-rated of all versions across all platforms on Metacritic, earning a 91 rating.

The studio has also done a fantastic job with NBA 2K13 and NBA 2K14 on iOS and Android.

Batman: Return To Arkham launches July 27 on Xbox One and PlayStation.
