A report back in April hinted at a Batman: Arkham series re-release, and Warner Bros. Games today confirmed the news, with Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight, arguably two of the greatest superhero games ever made, getting the remastered treatment for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Developed by Virtuous, a studio that has mostly worked on mobile and tablet but has more recently brought Heavy Rain to PlayStation 4, Return To Arkham will be remastered using Unreal Engine 4.
It will include all Game Of The Year edition bonus and downloadable content from both games, with upgraded models, environments, lighting, effects and shaders.
The disc version of the game can be pre-ordered from today, but only at EB Games for $69.95. It’s currently on the Xbox Store, but you can’t pre-order that yet.
Batman: Return To Arkham launches July 27.
