Nintendo’s latest Indie World Showcase swung between cosy and chaotic, from a witch-college life sim to a golf game where you’re allowed to shoot your rivals. Here’s everything shown, with Australian release dates where Nintendo gave them.
Free demos you can play right now
Four demos landed on the eShop straight after the show:
- Haunted Paws – two-player co-op puppies in a haunted mansion
- Petal Runner – a pixel-art open-world RPG about motorcycle couriers
- RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition – a roguelike coin-pusher
- Winds of Viridia – a newly revealed action-adventure
Bao Bao’s Cozy Cleaning Services, the panda pressure-washing game, is also out now on Switch.

The ones worth watching
Witchbrook is the headliner. Chucklefish’s long-awaited life sim puts you in Witchbrook College in the seaside town of Mossport, with four-player online co-op, friendships and romance. It’s been a long wait, and late January is finally in sight.
Spirit Crossing comes from Spry Fox, the team behind Cozy Grove. It’s a cloud-top life sim MMO with small bears that have big personalities, and it’s out in less than a fortnight.
City of None is from one of the co-creators of Celeste, which is enough to put it on any platformer fan’s list. It has five city sectors, each with its own four-colour palette and playstyle.
Tenjutsu is a top-down roguelike brawler from the designer of Dead Cells, published by Devolver. You pick the order you take down the city’s crime syndicates.
My Arms Are Longer Now gets a special shout-out for an Aussie reason: all 48 characters are voiced by Australian comedians. You play an absurdly long arm pulling off heists while a nearly retired detective narrates your crimes.
For the multiplayer crowd, Super Battle Golf (up to eight players, weapons allowed), Dumpster Gang (four-player raccoon crime) and the physics-horror hit R.E.P.O. will all be on Switch 2.
