Marvel Rivals continues to heat up the battlefront with two fiery new skins for duelists Magik and Black Panther. Ahead of the game’s much-anticipated mid-season update, NetEase Games has revealed the debut of the Phoenix Demon and Phoenix Panther skins, landing in the in-game store on July 31 at 7 PM PDT.
Flame on: Magik and Panther embrace the Phoenix
Announced via X, these new cosmetics channel serious heat: literally. Magik’s Phoenix Demon skin sees her wielding her signature dark aesthetic with a fiery twist: a sleek black leather outfit centered around a blazing phoenix emblem on her chest. Clearly, she’s doubling down on intimidation tactics.
Black Panther’s Phoenix Panther skin offers a regal-yet-deadly look with gleaming black-and-gold armor, an intricately designed mask, and a majestic flaming crown. The design pulls off a fierce blend of mysticism and tech, very fitting for the King of Wakanda with a cosmic twist.
As of now, there’s no official word on the price for either skin or whether they’ll be available in a bundle. But judging by past cosmetic releases, fans can expect premium pricing for these legendary-tier looks.
Too many duelists?
The release of yet more Duelist-class characters and skins has reignited discussions in the community about role imbalance. Duelists in Marvel Rivals — specialists in high DPS and quick eliminations — now significantly outnumber Vanguards and Strategists.
