The new generation of console is fast approaching, with fans clamouring to get their hands on pre-orders ahead of the November 10 release of the Xbox Series X and Series S.

The power of the Series X and its little brother in the Series S has been the driving force of much conjecture within the gaming industry and among gamers, with a lot of the focus on Microsoft’s claim for 120 FPS as well as the potential for 8K gaming.

While the latter is unlikely to happen anytime soon — perhaps not even this generation — many games within the Series X launch window are already claiming to offer 120 FPS and in some cases also at full 4K resolution.

If you want a closer look at both consoles ahead of launch I’ve put together a Series X vs Series S breakdown.

While you’re here, let’s take a look at the full list of Xbox Series X games that will have the ability to run at 120 FPS.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

  • Unknown Resolution
  • 120 FPS
  • Free upgrade / Smart Delivery? Yes

There’s capability for DiRT 5 to run at 4K and 120 FPS on select PC hardware but the only confirmation we’ve received for consoles is that it will run smoothly at 120 FPS on consoles.

“I was shocked at how quickly we could hit 120fps! We hadn’t done any optimization for it at this stage but the game was frequently hitting 120fps,” Codemasters technical director, David Springate, told Xbox Wire.

DiRT 5 supports Smart Delivery, meaning you’ll be able to buy the game on Xbox One and have immediate access on Series X once the game’s upgrade is available.
