It’s the big question NBA 2K fans have been asking for months: will MyTEAM progress carry over from NBA 2K21 on PS4 and Xbox One to the next generation later this year? The answer is, thankfully, yes, it will carry over, so you won’t have to worry about the transfer losing your precious progress.

As confirmed in the latest NBA 2K21 MyTEAM blog, any progress made on the PS4 and Xbox One version of NBA 2K21 will carry over to the next generation version of the game. That’s your entire collection and progress.

So any pulled and earned cards — as well as any evolution progress associated with them — your VC, MyTEAM Points and Tokens will carry over. The transfer will be full and complete.

There is of course a small — very small — compromise: the transfer will only occur on matching generations on the same account. But that was a given. But don’t expect to be able to transfer your progress and currency from your Xbox One to your PS5, or PS4 to Xbox Series X.

Things get real interesting here: you won’t need to do anything in order to access your MyTEAM progress on either console generation.

In fact, as outlined in the blog, you can move back and forth between the generations at will.
