It’s been a long time coming — more than a decade to be precise — but Halo 3: ODST is now finally on PC, and it brings with it the long-awaited debut of the highly anticipated Firefight mode.
With the recent news of Halo Infinite‘s delay sending a spiral of depression through the passionate Xbox and Halo communities, there’s a bit of restitution available through The Master Chief Collection, which has long been supported and improved.
The latest addition to the Collection is Halo 3: ODST‘s Campaign (PC) and Firefight mode (PC and Xbox One) by way of beta (the campaign has been available on Xbox One dating back to 2015).
The Firefight mode is a must-play: this wave-based multiplayer mode embodies the absolute best of the Halo online offering.
PC players have long been demanding the addition of Halo 3: ODST, and this month brings with it some exciting additions, especially with Firefight coming alongside the campaign.
How to join the Halo 3 ODST PC Beta
You can join the Halo 3: ODST PC beta by signing up to the Halo Insider program. Developer of The Master Chief Collection, 343 Industries, welcomes the hoard of gamers to join the beta, with the developer having already stamped out a host of bugs from the initial beta test.
If you’re lucky enough to score an invite, you can play through six campaign missions from ODST, as well as seven Firefight maps.
