Battlefront 2 players are set for an influx of Original Trilogy content in the coming weeks, with the likes of Scarif from Rogue One and Death Star II all but confirmed for cooperative play in the coming weeks.
A few weeks back, Battlefront 2 developer, DICE, dropped that Original Trilogy content was on the way, ahead of an update that saw the introduction of new Supremacy maps as well as BB-8 as a playable hero.
The latest patch notes and update addressed some issues with that addition, along with a few other bugs, but players can soon expect another massive update soon, with Original Trilogy content firmly on the agenda.
DICE has been working to “encompass all eras” of the Star Wars franchise, with Age Of Rebellion also coming alongside new OT content, and the much-anticipated additional Scarif content.
Fans have been waiting long and hard for addition OT content for Battlefront 2, and it’s not confirmed that we’ll see it before the end of February.
DICE’s Ben Walke posted on Twitter that we’ll see Age of Rebellion and Original Trilogy content in “less than two weeks”.
“Age of Rebellion / Original Trilogy content arrives into Star Wars Battlefront II in less than two weeks. Absolutely cannot wait,” he said.
That would likely put the update at around February 26, given most Battlefront 2 updates fall on a Wednesday.
Are you ready for AI Palpatine? I’m … definitely not, but keen nonetheless!
