NBA 2K20 ratings: Kawhi Leonard’s LA Clippers are league’s best

Seeing a basketball team from Los Angeles at the top of the NBA 2K ratings is hardly a rarity, with the Lakers often sitting atop the thrown. However, few NBA fans would have ever expected to see the other LA team at the top of the ratings, but that’s exactly what’s happened with Kawhi Leaonard’s LA Clippers in NBA 2K20.

Ratings leaked ahead of the NBA 2K20‘s launch on September 6 have the LA Clippers with the highest player average, at 78.69. Leading the way for the team are Leonard, with a rating of 97; Paul George, with a rating of 93; and six man extraordinaire Louis Williams on 84.

Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley round out the top 5 on 83 and 79, respectively.

Ironically, and perhaps for the first time ever, the LA Lakers come in second place with a player rating average of 78.27, with LeBron James (97 rating), Anthony Davis (94), Demarcus Cousins (86), Kyle Kuzma (84) and JaVale McGee (79) rounding out the top five.

Overall, there’s not much difference between all 30 teams: the Washington Wizards have a rating of 74.38, while last year’s NBA Champions in the Toronto Raptors come in 18th with a rating of 76.07.

Ben Simmons’ rating comes in at a surprising 87, sitting second on the Philadelphia 76ers’ roster behind Joel Embii (91). The Golden State Warriors are locked in at 77.71.
