Gearbox promised us more information on April 3, and and now we have it, but some details may not sit well with PC gamers and Borderlands fans.
The first Borderlands 3 trailer revealed a lot without showing much, but what we did initially get from the trailer however was confirmation of a number of leaks from a few months before the trailer hit, including the characters and classes of the game’s Vault Hunters, and also Borderland 3‘s villains.
The Borderlands 3 social media team prematurely posted a Tweet that listed Borderlands 3‘s release date as September 13. Further, it also had an icon for the Epic Games Store, suggesting Borderlands 3 may be released exclusively on the platform in what would be another huge scalp for Epic following the exclusive launches of Metro Exodus and Ashen.
As it turns out, that wasn’t an April Fool’s joke: Borderlands 3‘s release date is September 13, and it is an Epic Games Store exclusive.
The latest trailer has also confirmed a lot of what we already knew about Borderlands 3‘s characters.
