With Injustice 2 set to drop soon on May 16, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is ramping up the hype behind the game’s new eSports league.
The publisher is teaming up with ESL, Gamelta Esports Professional League, GameStop, PS4, and Twitch to host the Injustice 2 Championship Series, with $600,000 up for grabs across four regional events.
The Injustice 2 Pro Series will kick things off on May 26, running for four months and will be broadcast live on Twitch.
The remaining 16 players from each of North America, Europe, and Latin America will then compete in the finals in Los Angeles on September 17.
If you’re not battling it out in the Pro Series, you’ll still have the ability to win some cash by battling it out in the GameStop Hometown Heroes tournament, which is open exclusively for US players.
It will have online qualifiers starting June 4, with Regional Finals held at GameStop stores on August 12.
To finish things off, the finals will be held at the GameStop Consumer Expo in Las Vegas on August 27.
The Injustice 2 Pro League is similar to the Mortal Kombat Pro League, so expect it to get just as heated and exciting as we’ve seen with past Mortal Kombat events.
