Boss Battle 1: Derrick the Executioner
How To Beat
Derrick will swing hard and fast initially, and you’ll need to dodge to the side to avoid these attack. Once you dodge, quickly move in for at least two quick attacks, but never more than three because he’ll parry. His second form dictates a similar approach, although he’s faster and you’ll need to be more precise with hits, as any hit from him will cause more damage.
Boss Battle 2: Onryoki
How To Beat
Onryoki is a deceivingly strong and powerful boss. Being only the second boss, he should cause too much trouble. Wait for him to attack, then dash behind him and get some quick hits in. Use low stance to stay mobile and below his range of attack. After you hit, block his counter attack. Watch for his chain, which he will swing around at you whenever you break line of sight. If you attempt to dodge these attacks, the chain will eventually hit you on the whiplash, so be sure to block his counter after you hit him.
Boss Battle 3: Hino-enma
How To Beat
Up to this point, Hino-enma will be the toughest enemy you will have come across. She is most effective at range, so you want to keep a distance but at the same time close enough so that when you dodge, you can rush in for the attack. If she managed to connect with her range attack, this will stun you and leave you incredibly vulnerable, so watch out for those attack, and always dodge to the side. She’ll actually try to get a few hits in, so don’t rush in immediately. Her main attack structure incorporates multiple attacks, so wait until she’s finished, and then rush it for a few hits. Always dodge, counter, attack, and be sure to wait until she’s finished her combo run.
Boss Battle 4: Nue
How To Beat
Nue can breath fire and lightning, so you probably want to be proficient Vs these elements before attempting this boss. She will attempt to throw either at you, which you’ll need to dodge. She can’t attack to the left, so be sure to dodge to the left and around her. Use a quick low-stance attack on her, and try to get in maybe 4-5 hits. Her most vulnerable is when she’s trying to breath lightning, so if you can avoid the strikes and get around her — always to the left — you should be able to cause significant damage,
Boss Battle 5: Tachibana Muneshige
How To Beat
This boss shouldn’t be too hard to best. Use your spear in a high stance, and dodge to the right whenever he attacks. Avoid ranged attacks, and focus on his KI.
Boss Battle 6: Great Centipede
How To Beat
There are two stages to this boss battle. First up, focus on his legs: dodge, heavy attack. Once it forms into its second phase, you need dodge its attacks and get behind it, using a low/mid stance and fast light attacks in quick successions on the legs. Keeping blocking its attacks, and dodging behind it.
