Everyone’s favourite plumber’s first adventure on iOS will launch next month, and it’s sure to generate as much if not more hype than Pokemon Go did.
Super Mario Run promises to be an exciting twist on the classic Super Mario formula, blending the endless runner genre with the classic platforming gameplay that has defined the quintessential Nintendo experience for decades.
Developed by Nintendo EPD, the folks behind the upcoming Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, the new Super Mario Run will hit iOS devices on December 15.
It will cost $9.99 in the US, and $14.99 in Australia. That price unlocks all three modes available in the game, with additional in-app purchases and modes expected to come to the game post-release.
The launch will thrust players into a world with 24 stages and six worlds, each with the classic Super Mario design and theme.
Super Mario Run is expected to come to Android platforms in early 2017.
