We all knew that Watch Dogs 2 was inevitable, but we doubt publisher Ubisoft wanted it to get out like this.
Love or hate Watch Dogs, the game set the scene for what will undoubtedly be Ubisoft’s next big franchise. Much like how the first Assassin’s Creed introduced the gameplay style before being refined and bettered in Assassin’s Creed 2, a Watch Dogs sequel is clearly be developed at Ubisoft HQ.
Unfortunately for Ubisoft, a fairly important piece of information about Watch Dogs 2 has been revealed in unofficial means.
Spotted by the folks at NerdLeaks, an actor supposedly working on Watch Dogs 2 accidentally posted an image of a character, which appears to be the game’s protagonist.
The actor has since removed the image from Instagram, but cached versions of his account clearly show that the post is legitimate.
If that is indeed the “lead character”, as the post suggests, it means we’ll be moving on from Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs. As anyone that played that first game would know, any character other than Aiden in the protagonist role would automatically make Watch Dogs 2 a better game.
