Borderlands 3 is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest and best games. Developer, Gearbox Software, has already done well by fans and the broader gaming community, releasing plenty of tidbits and trailers ahead of a gameplay unveiling during a stream on May 1.
Always one to engage with fans, Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford, certainly doesn’t shy away from answering simple “yes” or “no” questions, whilst also managing to give us plenty without actually giving us much at all.

Case in point: a fan’s recent enquiry towards Pitchford about Borderlands 3 endgame content.
“How beefy is the end game in BL3? Is it as beefy if not beefier than BL2? BL2 lasted as long as it has because of how much you could do after the main story,” asked Thoma1337. “BL2 has DLC stories, headhunter bosses, raid bosses, etc.. Will that stuff return but more?”

Did Randy bite? He sure did.
“Yes, that stuff will return but more,” he said. Okay so it’s not massive news, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

Borderlands 2 was just one of those games you could play for hours and hours on end once the main story had been completed. Pack in some downright awesome DLC and continued support, and it was difficult to put Borderlands 2 down once you’d completed the campaign. It’s great to hear there is a dedicated focus and promise to bring even more of that goodness to Borderlands 3.
The first Borderlands 3 trailer — which you can view above, or here — says a lot without saying much at all, but the reveal trailer gave us far more information. Some may think it looks too much like more of the same Borderlands, but that’s pretty much what any Borderlands fan wants: more of what makes Borderlands so great.

It did showcase a little in the way of the game’s world, notwithstanding what we can probably expect on the character front. In that regard we can look forward to four new playable characters, each with similarly diverse characteristics and abilities, such is the Borderlands way.
Borderlands games have introduced players to four Vault Hunters with each new iteration, and you’ll have the opportunity to select your desired character from the start, depending on their class and play style, and how it best suits your own approach to the game world and gameplay. We’ve put together a handy guide for you, and you read all about Borderlands 3 character and classes here.
Borderlands 3 launches on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on September 13.
