Slated for 2017 release
Gran Turismo Sport

Release Date: TBC
Confusion surrounded the official reveal of GT Sport, with fans unsure as to whether or not it was a Prologue-like entry or main entry. Polyphony Digital soon confirmed that it was indeed the main entry, to replace GT7, and that it would herald in a second generation of Gran Turismo games, with GT1 through GT6 representing the first generation. At this stage, the game doesn’t have a release date, so expect it to hit PS4 anytime between late 2017 and 2019.
God Of War

Release Date: TBC
Sony blew everyone away when it lifted the lid off God Of War at E3 2016. A stunning new reimagining of an iconic PlayStation franchise, God Of War promises to reignite what had become a tired and uninspiring franchise after multiple entries. A 2017 release seems unlikely, but we have our fingers crossed.
Shenmue 3

Release Date: December 2017
It’s slated for a December 2017 release, but it’s anyone’s guess if it will actually hit that window. Demand was still so high for the game more than a decade after Shenmue 2, but that no publisher was willing to pick it up and fund its development has fans concerned. Nonetheless, it’s an exciting new entry in a beloved franchise, and it will be interesting to see how the final product turns out.
Final Fantasy VII Remake

Release Date: TBC
This game made for perhaps one of the biggest E3 announcements ever. Sony lifted the lid on the reimagined Final Fantasy VII at E3 2015, but fans have had to make-do with little information since. We know that it will be released as a multi-part series, which suggests we could see part of the game hit PS4 in 2017.
Spider-Man

Release Date: TBC
We don’t have a release window for Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man effort, which is a shame because the E3 2016 reveal was nothing short of amazing. The studio’s repertoire suggests the Marvel and Spider-Man brands are in good hands.
Days Gone

Release Date: TBC
The folks at SIE Bend Studio are known for their Syphon Filter efforts, having created and developed the action-stealth franchise for almost a decade. They moved from console to handheld and most recently made the Uncharted games for PS Vita. Overall, the studio has a great history, and their action-adventure horror game in Days Gone looks to be yet another great addition to the portfolio.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Release Date: TBC
Fans had been asking for it for years, and Sony and Activision finally teamed up to bring the original Crash Bandicoot games to PlayStation. It appears that this is a timed exclusive, so expect it to eventually come to Xbox One, but for the time being it looks set to hit PS4 first, most certainly in 2017.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Release Date: TBC
Ninja Theory has a strong repertoire, having developed the underrated Heavenly Sword on PS3, and the criminally under-appreciated DmC: Devil May Cry on Xbox 360 and PS3. While a sequel to the former was cancelled due to the poor sales, the studio moved on to work on Hellblade, which is a new IP that will undobutedly incorporate the developer’s iconic hack-and-slash action gameplay.
Rime

Release Date: TBC
The team behind Deadlight, Tequila Works, is working on a new PS4 exclusive, which is described as an open world, third-person view, adventure and puzzle game. It will follow a boy who tries to escape an island and a fatal curse. It looks to be a really fascinating and emotional journey, taking obvious inspiration from the likes of The Last Guardian and The Witness.
Wild

Release Date: TBC
Wild Sheep Studio, a company founded by Ubisoft employee Michel Ancel, began development on Wild back in 2014, and the game has come a long way since. It’s an open-world survival action game set during the Neolithic period (6000-500 BC), in a procedurally generated world with a seemingly infinite size. It’s going to be huge!
Ni No Kuni 2

Release Date: TBC
We hadn’t heard or seen much about Ni No Kuni 2 since its initial reveal, but Sony lifted the lid on the game at the PlayStation Experience 2016. The sequel to the critically acclaimed PS3 entry looks set for a 2017 release.
Ace Combat 7

Release Date: TBC
There’s been a discouraging lack of updates for Ace Combat 7, but we can rest assured that it is indeed still coming to PS4 and most likely in 2017. It’s being developed using Unreal Engine 4 and will have PlayStation VR support, so expect it to be the best-looking entry in the franchise when it’s finally released.
Dreams

Release Date: TBC
Media Molecule, the team behind LittleBigPlanet, is set to release Dreams in 2017, which looks to share quite a bit in common with its gaming brother in terms of creativity and shareability within the community. The core experience seems rather different, however, and pending it sees the light of day in 2017, it could be one of the more unique games to hit the console over the next 12 months.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Release Date: TBC
After having released Uncharted 4 and seemingly ending its time with the acclaimed PlayStation franchise, the studio is looking to extend its time in the universe with a DLC expansion pack that will also get a standalone release. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be an entirely new adventure, and will star Uncharted 2‘s Chloe Frazer in the role of the main protagonist. She will be joined by Uncharted 4‘s Nadine Ross.
Knack 2

Release Date: TBC
A not-so-beloved launch title will get a sequel either in late 2017 or early 2018. Love or hate the original, it’s hard to deny that Knack has plenty of potential, so here’s hoping the sequel can live up to what the character and game world is capable of.
