Bethesda has lifted the lid off the inspiration behind its highly anticipate space RPG, showcasing the stunning game worlds of Starfield.
Starfield is shaping up to be the defining game of the generation. In development at Bethesda Game Studios (the same team behind The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises), the space-themed open-world RPG has long been one of the most anticipated games of the decade.
With more than a year still before the game lands on Xbox Series X and Series S via Xbox Game Pass, Bethesda probably acknowledges how desperate their fans are for any and all news and details related to the game. We haven’t seen much of the game in action, and also don’t know too much about the game itself, but three new trailers released overnight shed light on the sure-to-be-stunning game worlds of Starfield.

Starfield is set 300 years in the future, and you’ll take on the role of a fully customisable character as a member of space explorers called “Constellation”. You’ll be able to play the game in either first or third-person mode, and so Starfield stands to really set a high bar in terms of appeal and expectation.
It’s set for release on November 11, 2022 (yes, 2022), so there’s still a long way to go. But we know how fast the time goes and with Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 on the, erm, horizon in the near future, we could well be playing Starfield before we know it.

The below videos take a look at three key locations from Starfield: Neon, New Atlantis and Akila. The videos are short yet detailed, providing fantastic insight into the design inspiration behind Starfield‘s game worlds. Check them out!
