With Doomfist finally out in the wild and doing his testing thing over on the Public Test Realm (PTR) on PC, console gamers are clamouring to get their hands on the highly anticipated hero.
Doomfist has been an important character in Overwatch lore, existing as part of the universe long before he was even introduced as the 25th hero.
He’s been out and causing havoc for less than a week, but Blizzard is working to refine and perfect the character before he hits the public servers.
When will that be? Blizzard has confirmed that he will hit console and PC on July 27, just ahead of the end of Season 5 and before the start of Season 6, which we can assume will be mid-to-late August.
Doomfist has been a long time in the making, and his design and composition is exactly as many of us expected. He’s a highly mobile attack hero, one that is considered to be an ideal frontline warrior that has a powerful punch.

He’s been generating plenty of hype and debate among the Overwatch community, which seems split on the heroes best use and most effective playstyle. It was initiallu expected that he wouldn’t hit live servers until at least early August, just ahead of the start of Season 6 of ranked play.
We all stand to get Doomfisted (sorry) when the hero launches next week, just ahead of the weekend.
