Some of Australia’s best Overwatch players are set to battle it out against Asia’s elites in the inaugural Overwatch Pacific Championship.
Teams from across Asia-Pacific will head to Taiwan to compete in the newly formed OPC, a professional eSports league that will be based in Taipei and offers a prize pool of more than $350,000 AUD.
The first season will kick off on April 8, with one team from Australia in Blank Esports competing against two teams from Japan (SunSister, DeToNator GOLD), three from Taiwan (Machi Esports, ahq eSports Club, Flash Wolves), one from Hong Kong (Hong Kong Attitude), and one from Thailand (FireBall).
The 11-week regular season will end with the top three teams advancing to a playoff bracket round before a winner is crowned.
You’ll be able to watch the entire season via the Blizzard Taiwan Live Stream Channel.
Matches will be held from Friday through to Sunday each week starting April 8.
