Destiny is set for another major update this September 20 when Destiny: Rise of Iron launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Bungie has already detailed its post-launch plans, and we now also have more details about the expansion itself thanks to Game Informer.
Rise Of Iron raid
Rise of Iron’s raid will be called ‘Wrath of the Machine’.
Rise Of Iron light level
The maximum light level in Rise of Iron will be increased to 385. Once Hard Mode of the Wrath of the Machine raid is available, the cap will increase further to 400.
Rise of Iron exotics
Rare, Legendary and Exotic drops will be similar to what they are currently in the game. At the moment there doesn’t appear to be any major changes to how the lotting or drop system works.
Rise of Iron features
There are a number of new features coming to Destiny via Rise of Iron.
- Ornaments: A new feature that allows players to change the appearance of armor pieces and exotic weapons. It is expected that these will work similar to shaders.
- A Rise of Iron record book will list tasks, with percentage completion points to provide players with rewards, including emblems and gear. It’s expected this will be similar to Moments of Triumph.
Rise of Iron multiplayer
- There will be a new Arena play space called Archon’s Forge
- Bungie also promises “new ways to enjoy” the Crucible
