Vigors are the bread-and-butter of the BioShock Infinite experience. They replace plasmids from the first two BioShock games as the game’s primary special “power”.
There are eight in total, each with two upgrades and numerous uses.
Murder of Crows
What is it?
It gives Booker control over a murderous group of crows.
Where is it?
Booker acquires it after killing the leader of the Cult of the Raven on the Comstock Center rooftop.
What’s it good for?
It’s great for breaking up large groups of enemies, and distracting enemies while refuelling on ammo, salts and health.

Shock Jockey
What is it?
Shock Jockey allows Booker to unleash a large amount of energy, electrocuting enemies and starting machinery.
Where is it?
It can be found in the Hall of Heroes gift shop early in the game.
What’s it good for?
Use this bad boy to electrocute enemies standing in water puddle, or, when the Chain Aid is bought, to electrocute multiple enemies at once.

Devil’s Kiss
What is it?
Devil’s Kiss gives Booker the power of fire: shoot fireballs better than Mario ever did!
Where is it?
Booker acquires it early in the game after defeating the first Fireman.
What’s it good for?
Large groups of small enemies will cry in pain with a single ball of fire. Combine this with Murder of Crows to send crazy, firing crows the way of your enemies.

Possession
What is it?
Possession gives Booker the power of God: turn enemy machinery and humans into friendlies.
Where is it?
Pick up this gem of a vigor early in the game in the carnival.
What’s it good for?
It’s useful on stronger enemies, who can help you can take multiple enemies. Only problem is that large enemies don’t suicide once it wears off, so you need to rely on the enemies to turn their attention to it take it down. Also good on turrets that are stopping you from progressing.

Charge
What is it?
Booker can charge towards enemies with intense force using this vigor.
Where is it?
It’s in the Flinkton Proper level inside the elevator shaft.
What’s it good for?
This is useful against large, powerful enemies, and groups of enemies bundled together.

Return to Sender
What is it?
This allows Booker to absorb incoming enemy projectiles without damage, and even throw it back to them once upgraded.
Where is it?
It’s located in the Downtown Emporia area. After Elizabeth unlocks the gate, it’s in the hallway.
What’s it good for?
Once upgraded this can be a very useful vigor, especially later in the game when the difficulty ramps up. Great to send RPG missiles back to those pesky enemies bombarding Booker from a distance.

Undertow
What is it?
Use a powerful force of water to pull enemies toward Booker or push them away.
Where is it?
Find it in the entry of Fink’s Factor next to a corpse behind the main desk.
What’s it good for?
You can use this as a whip to pull in enemies that are bombarding you from a distance, or use it to push them away, particularly larger, stronger enemies.

Bucking Bronco
What is it?
This vigor allows Booker to suspend enemies in the air temporarily without them fighting back.
Where is it?
Find it in the Hall of Heroes.
What’s it good for?
Large groups of enemies when Booker’s in a pickle, and large enemies. Hang those enemies out to dry and then shock them with Shock Jockey!
