Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has already become one of the most hyped titles of 2025. Mark your calendars: November 14 is when the next chapter in the legendary Black Ops series launches across PC and console. But if you’re itching to get in on the action before then with some beta early access, there’s some good news, especially if you’re an Xfinity subscriber.

Early beta access: Here’s how to get in
Activision’s opening the gates early for the lucky folks who either pre-order Black Ops 7 or — plot twist — happen to be Xfinity customers. That’s right: no fancy edition needed, no additional purchase required. If you’ve got Xfinity, you’ve already got a fast pass into Black Ops 7’s beta.
Here’s how you can claim it:
- Head to the Xfinity Rewards page
- Sign in and redeem the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Early Access reward
- Wait for the beta code to be emailed to you
Once your code lands in your inbox, you’ll gain access to the Black Ops 7 beta starting October 2. Meanwhile, everyone else will have to wait until October 5. The full beta closes on October 8.
Pre-order and pre-purchase perks
Those who pre-order or pre-purchase Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, whether on PC or console, will also unlock early beta access. This puts you ahead of the curve in learning the new mechanics, testing out the revamped arsenal, and soaking up the chaos before the general community jumps in.

Activision hasn’t revealed every detail about what players will get to explore during the test phase. Beta players know the playground will be split into two parts, but only one map name has been dropped so far: Blackheart. Whether that’s a nod to something deeply narrative-driven or just a badass map name, we don’t yet know: but it’s at least a taste of what’s to come.
What we know about the setting and story
Taking a sharp turn from Black Ops 6, which dunked players into the raw, politically charged atmosphere of the early 1990s, Black Ops 7 is heading full-speed into the future. Set in 2035, this latest installment drops you into a high-tech battleground laced with futuristic weaponry, digital warfare, and a lot of unknown dangers.
This time, you’ll be stepping into the boots of David Mason: if the name sounds familiar, it should. He’s the son of Black Ops legend Alex Mason and once starred in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Now David is taking center stage, navigating a spiderweb of conspiracy that threatens global stability. If Activision’s known for anything, it’s high-octane storylines filled with twists, betrayals, and the kind of explosive missions that leave your heart pounding.
Multiplayer and Zombies reveal incoming
As of now, Activision is playing it coy with many gameplay details. But the clock is ticking toward a huge info drop on September 30, when the developers are set to officially unveil Black Ops 7’s multiplayer experience.

And for the undead-heads among us: yes, Zombies is coming back. While specific mechanics are still under wraps, the buzz in the community is that we’ll be getting the largest Round-Based Zombies map ever. That alone is enough to make longtime players foam at the mouth. Will it top Transit? Shadows of Evil? We’ll soon find out.
Get in early, dominate later
Getting early access to a game as tightly competitive as Call of Duty can give players a serious leg up. It’s not just about bragging rights: fine-tuning your aim, experimenting with weapons, learning map flow, and figuring out meta loadouts can all translate to long-term multiplayer domination. And if you’re an Xfinity subscriber, there’s literally no drawback to snagging a beta code and diving in early.

With the beta less than two months away and the full release following shortly after, now’s the perfect time to dust off your headset, rally your squad, and prepare for a campaign full of espionage, tech-fueled warfare, and some seriously twisted secrets. Black Ops is back, and this time, the future is anything but safe.
