Battlefield 6 reveal rumoured for July 29 during upcoming 3-Day EA Event

Battlefield 6 might finally be coming out of the shadows, with new leaks suggesting the highly anticipated shooter will be revealed during a 3-day EA event beginning July 29.

The claim comes from longtime Battlefield content creator @rivaLxfactor on X, who states they’ve confirmed with another source that EA will be hosting a comprehensive event later this month. While the event hasn’t officially been labelled as “Battlefield specific,” all signs point to Battlefield 6 taking center stage.

What’s expected at the July 29 EA Event?

According to the leak, the event will showcase:

  • The full reveal of Battlefield 6
  • Developer interviews in a “somewhat fixed format”
  •
  • Reveals featuring content creators playing early builds

And here’s the kicker: a Battlefield 6 Open Beta is expected to launch shortly after the event. While no exact beta date is confirmed, the quick turnaround adds legitimacy to the reveal window.

This event is currently being referred to as an “EV Event” rather than a Battlefield-specific showcase. That could mean other EA franchises will also make appearances, possibly in a format similar to EA Play Live events that historically coincided with E3.

New Battlefield name and game modes leaked

Just ahead of rivaLxfactor’s post, a promotional care package sent to a creator made headlines. It confirmed the title as Battlefield 6, and the packaging prominently featured ribbons labeled with core multiplayer modes:

  • Conquest
  • Rush
  • Breakthrough
  • PTFO (Play The F**king Objective)

The inclusion of these modes signals a potential return to classic Battlefield gameplay staples. Though fans have long speculated about experimental modes or shifts in gameplay structure, it seems the series is sticking to its roots, at least at launch.

When will EA officially announce it?

As of now, EA and DICE have stayed silent. The creators who received these Battlefield 6-themed packages may have also received invitations to the event. The move feels like a calculated marketing ploy to build hype through influencers: something that’s become standard in gaming reveals these days.

What’s more, rumours continue to swirl about a free-to-play Battle Royale mode, which was not mentioned as part of this upcoming reveal. All signs suggest it will get its own spotlight later down the line.

When will battlefield 6 launch?

According to the current leaks, Battlefield 6 is set to launch sometime this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With the reveal pegged for the end of July and an open beta soon to follow, we could realistically expect a holiday 2025 release window if things go smoothly.

The calm before the Battlefield storm?

Honestly, it’s been a long time coming. After Battlefield 2042’s divisive launch and live-service tumble early on, the franchise hasn’t had an easy ride. But if the rumours are true, it looks like EA and DICE are preparing to go big with Battlefield 6, falling back on classic modes, community outreach, and a jam-packed reveal event.

Whether it redefines large-scale warfare or just delivers a safer sequel with polished mechanics, we’ll know more starting July 29. Until then, it’s back to the waiting room… and, well, probably overanalysing those teaser packages.
