Xbox adds over 30 games to ‘Stream Your Own Game’ in massive July update

Team Xbox continues to go full throttle with its ‘Stream Your Own Game’ initiative, adding more than 30 new titles to the feature as of mid-July. If you felt like things were escalating quickly, you’re not wrong.

This latest content drop follows an earlier batch of 17 games added to the service in July, most of which are now live. But the new additions take things up several notches with big-name franchises, indie darlings, family titles, and some genre classics. Whether you’re into stealth, sci-fi, story-rich adventures, or simply want to raise hell in Steelport, there’s now more than ever to dive into via cloud streaming.

What Is ‘Stream Your Own Game’?

In case you’ve missed the buzz, ‘Stream Your Own Game’ is Xbox’s growing feature within Xbox Cloud Gaming (part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate). It allows players to stream titles they already own digitally, not just those in Game Pass. That means once it’s added to the supported list, you can fire it up from your phone, tablet, browser, or Smart TV, even if you bought it independently from the Microsoft Store.

And now, this growing library just got a whole lot bigger.

Ubisoft & LEGO leading the charge

There’s no missing the Ubisoft influence here. With six Assassin’s Creed titles added in this update alone, long-time fans can now stealth their way across historical periods from ancient America to pirate-infested waters and the streets of Syndicate-era London, all from the cloud.

For younger audiences or gamers with a soft spot for LEGO games (hey, we’ve all been there), half a dozen LEGO favourites now support streaming. That includes classics like LEGO Batman and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

Xbox Stream Your Own Game

From indie gold to outerspace horror

Not every addition is a AAA juggernaut. Quirky, high-praise indies like The Case of the Golden Idol and Signalis round out the offering. Plus, if you’re feeling brave enough, The Callisto Protocol now lets you dive into its haunting sci-fi horror without needing a hard install.

Is there a pattern here?

You better believe it. This aggressive rollout strongly suggests Xbox is prioritising huge expansion for ‘Stream Your Own Game’. If the pace keeps up, we could be looking at hundreds more supported titles by the end of 2025.

Microsoft’s clear intent? To make cloud streaming an everyday norm for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, and they’re doing it by removing friction from access. More supported purchases, more platforms, and less need for downloadable installs.

What’s next for Xbox Cloud Gaming?

While there’s no official word yet on which games are up next, Xbox’s internal effort to boost the service’s reach shows no sign of slowing. At this point, it’s not just about Game Pass anymore, it’s about building a full-on digital ecosystem where your owned games follow you, wherever you play.

So, don’t be surprised if we see another wave of additions before the end of July. And hey, if you’ve been holding off on grabbing a game outside of Game Pass, it might be time to check that supported list again: chances are, it’s playable in the cloud now.
