Man buys second-hand 3DS filled with porn

A UK father got more than he bargained for when the second-hand Nintendo 3DS he bought from a pawn shop was filled with explicit adult material.

Richard Chester, 46, from Plymouth in the UK, bought the 3DS handheld from a pawn shop for 89£ (A$170), and found “at least” 30 explicit images and hardcore videos.

“I would have thought the [previous] owner would remove anything before selling it,” Chester told the Daily Mail. “If I had bought it for my daughter it could have been worse. On this occasion it was for me, but I’m glad I looked at it first.”

Chester said he doesn’t know what to do with the handheld now, and has it hidden away in the cupboard.

“I’m thinking some kind of warning should be made as it could have been given to a child,” he said.

It’s fairly simple to transfer media files to the 3DS. All you need is an SD device and computer to transfer the files from. They can also be saved via the handheld’s browser.

There’s no word on if the 3DS also came loaded with a copy of Super Hornio Brothers (which actually exists, by the way).
