I watched I Am Legend about 2 nights ago. Havent seen it since it came out, forgot how much of a good movie it is. I watched an alternative ending but I’m glad the original ending was the real ending. The alternative one I saw seemed a bit weak.

I much preferred the alternate ending.

      Spoiler:
The fact it made the main protagonist to be a villain, abducting zombies from the streets to do experiments, and that they were intelligent all along. Even though his intentions were good, there’s that potential undertone that they were so aggressive towards him because they knew he was kidnapping them. He was trying to find a cure but they didn’t want one. So they were more scared of him than he was of them.

To me it was less of a Hollywood ending. That’s why I liked it.

Yeah when you put it like that you make a very valid point. I didnt really think of it like that. I suppose what I mean is that I didnt feel a great sense of closure in the ending and that it just all happened just like that but I do enjoy the concept and its made me appreciate the movie a but more I must say.

Yeah and I think that’s why they chose not to go with it. Too anti-climatic.

            Bring it On (2000).

Not enough cheerleader puns from Kirsten Dunst.

Went and watched the Conjuring 2 last night at the cinema. Was actually pretty good, for a cheap scare horror flick. Better than the first one.

I took my niece with me, she was scare crapless, she had to sleep with the light on :P She’s 21

Loved the first one but I hate horror movies because I’m not good with scares. I prefer campy horror movies of the Child’s Play and Evil Dead (original) variety.

                        Went and saw The BFG

It was pretty sweet, and was a decent adaptation from the book. Brought back fond memories [smile]

I Watched Casino on the weekend, I grew up watching Joe Pesci in slapstick comedy movies like Lethal Weapon, Home Alone and Gone Fishin but damn he does a crazy-good crazy-violent gangster!

                                  Batman vs Superman.

                                  Jesse Eisenberg was terrible.
                                  Doomsday felt rushed in.
                                  Very messy first half.
                                  Too long.

                                  Ben Affleck great as Batman.
                                  Wonder Woman better than expected.

                                  6/10 movie for me.

He went off the rails a bit after Casino. Did a lot of silly comedies and then eventually fell off the map. I think the last serious film he was in was The Good Shepard.

He’s amazing in Casino and Goodfellas. He’s in Raging Bull as well, which imo is Scorsese’s finest work.

Loved him in My Cousin Vinny as well, easily one of my all-time favourites.

I’m saving it for my flight to Gamescom. I want to watch it only because I love Justice League and want to see how it’s established. Synder really messed up Man of Steel, though. The first half was pretty great, but the second half: wow, what a mess! Apparently BvS is just the same hot mess of ridiculous action and special effects as the second half of Man of Steel.

That’s a shame. I haven’t seen it yet, but by all reports it is very average. It bombed at the box office as well.

                                                    Ha, I did

Was a bit scary for a solo movie, haha
Had a bunch of teens at the back of the cinema who were screaming, and carrying on so that was kind of funny

Overall I didnt hate the movie, some of the scenes were freaking unwatchable, I had to watch through my fingers

Saw ‘The Shallows’ over the weekend, again nothing ground breaking, but heaps of good shark scenes……….. and Blake Lively in some very risque bikini shots

In all fairness her body is smoking hot in the movie, but yeah I was there for the death and destruction, not the awkward boners like the teenage boys sitting beside me
